Organic Beeswax and Honey
Organic beeswax and honey comes from bees that live in hives where a 3 mile radius (the furthest distance that bees will fly from their hives) has been certified organic. Beeswax contains natural SPF. Both beeswax and honey provide excellent protection to skin. Found in our organic lip balms.
Organic Calendula
Calendula has a long history of being used to help soothe the skin and help heal skin irritations. Calendula also has anti-inflammatory and weak antimicrobial activity. It is usually used externally to treat skin lacerations, abrasions, etc. Found in our organic lip balms and organic bath salts.
Organic Jojoba
Jojoba is actually a wax (though it looks like an oil). It closely matches the natural restorative oil produced by your skin's sebaceous glands. Because of this, jojoba is used in a variety of skin and hair products because it is readily absorbed by the skin. It contains all of forms of Vitamin E, which is excellentfor treating a variety of skin ailments. Found in our organic body oil andorganic soap.
Organic Rosehip Oil
Rosehip is an excellent moisturizer for dry, sensitive, and mature skin. It is readily absorbed by the skin and helps to reduce the appearance of prematureageing. It helps to minimize the red tones in skin. Found in our organic body oils.
Organic Borage
Borage oil is great as a treatment for chronic skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis. It contains a very high percentage of GLA (gamma linolenicacid) which normalizes skin and helps to promote healthy skin conditions. Found in our organic body oilsand organic soap.
Organic Botanicals
We use a wide range of organic botanicals in our products. These botanicals all have specific properties, but all have been chosen because they are beneficialto the skin. Among our favorites are lavender buds, calendula flowers, rose petals, chamomile flowers, rosemary leaves, and jasmine flowers. Some of these havebeen infused for our organic body oils. They are also found in ourorganic bath salts, organic lip balm and organic soap.
Organic Aloe Vera
Aloe vera has been used topically for thousands of years to treat wounds, skin infections, burns, and numerous other dermatologic conditions. It's often usedas to soothe the skin after sun-damage. It is found in our organic bath salts andorganic soap.
Sea Salt
The sea salt that we use in our products has been harvested from an environmentally protected region of France. It has never been processed or washed, whichmeans that it maintains an extremely high vitamin and mineral content. It is found in our organic bath salts.
Organic Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
This oil has been used for centuries in soap making. Extra Virgin Olive Oil is the only olive oil that contains squalene -- a natural sterol, which scientists credit with important anti-inflammatory properties. Most other brands of soap are made from 'food-grade' olive oil. 'Food-grade' may sound nice, but it is more commonlyknown as pomace and it is what is left-over when the best (the 'extra-virgin' and 'virgin') has been extracted. 'Food-grade' oils have been stripped of most of theirnutrients. Extra Virgin Olive oil is a great moisturizer because it attracts moisture from the air and keeps the moisture close to the skin. Organic Extra-Virgin Coconut Oil
It moisturizes and protects skin and hair. It is anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and is a natural preservative because of its very high Vitamin E content. It also encapsulatesessential oils and helps to ensure that these oils continue to work by preventing their evaporation. Virgin Coconut Oil is a light oil that penetrates the skin easilyand helps to deliver essential oils into the skin. Found in our organic soaps,organic lip balms and organic body oils.
Organic Palm Oil
Organic Palm Oil is sustainably produced. Unlike the palm oil in most soaps, organic palm oil does not contribute to the destruction of the rainforest. Palm Oil containshigh concentrations of Vitamin E and anti-oxidants and helps to produce hard, long-lasting bars. Found in our organic soap.
Organic Avocado Oil
This ultra-rich oil has high amounts of Vitamin A, B1, B2, D, and E. Also contains amino acids, sterols, pantothenic acid, lecithin, and other essential fatty acids. Extremelybeneficial to those with skin problems such as eczema, psoriasis, and other skin ailments. Found in our organic soap,organic lip balms, and organic body oils.
Organic Unrefined Shea Butter
Shea butter is the first choice in natural skin care products. This butter leaves the skin smooth and healthy. It brings a wide range of benefits to numerous skin problemsincluding dermatitis, eczema, burns, dryness and other irritations. Traditionally it has been used in Africa as a medical balm for rheumatism, muscle aches, burns, and lightwounds. Found in our organic soap and organic bath salts.
Organic Unrefined Cocoa Butter
This unrefined butter smells like chocolate. It is a rich emollient with excellent skin softening and conditioning, and lubricating properties. A very stable 'fat' extractedfrom cacao nuts, unrefined cocoa butter contains natural antioxidants. Unrefined cocoa butter is an excellent moisturizer and leaves the skin feeling soft and silky smooth.Found in our organic soap and organic lip balms.
Organic Oatmeal
Oatmeal is soothing to itchy, dry skin. It neutralizes the PH balance of skin cells and calms rashes and other skin irritations. It is a great exfoliator that gently polishesthe skin without being abrasive. Found in our organic soap.
Essential Oils
Unlike perfumes and fragrances, essential oils are extracted directly from botanicals. Essential oils are considered the 'life-blood' of the botanicals and retain theiraromatherapy properties. Essential oils seldom cause adverse reactions like perfumes and fragrances are prone to do. Found in all of our organic bath and body products.
Sodium Hydroxide (lye)
Soap is made from a specific formula of oils, lye, and water. Soap cannot be made without lye. 'Saponification' occurs when the oils, lye and water are mixed together. After a curing time, the soap hardens and the soap is ready to use. Lye's bad reputation comes from olden times when people did not have access to scales and did not properlymeasure the ingredients.
Organic Neem Oil
Helps to seal-in moisture and heal many skin care problems naturally. It is used to treat acne, eczema, psoriasis, dandruff, dry skin, etc. It is anti-microbial and anti-bacterial. Neem oil has a strong scent, like molasses without the sweet overtones. This is certainly the ugly duckling of oils, but it works so well that you can't help but love it. Organic Sea Kelp
Kelp is extremely rich in nutrients and minerals that help to remove toxins, normalizes the skin, and makes skin feel silky. Found in ourorganic lime and mint soap.
